Student Dance Ministry

The heart behind the dance training we offer at Reverence Studios is ministry.  We value community over competition, servant-hearts over superstars, and grace over perfection.  For students between the ages of 12-18 who wish to learn to use dance as a tool for evangelism and want to gain the experience of traveling with a dance ministry team, we offer the opportunity to audition for our two traveling dance ministry teams.
El Emet
El Emet Dance Ministries is comprised of students ages 12-18.  El Emet tells stories and shares Scriptural thematic elements through longer dance numbers.  Dancers in El Emet practice twice a month, September through February, and perform locally for churches, school groups, fundraisers, nursing homes, and more beginning in March of each school year.
Traveling with El Emet is a commitment that students are required to take seriously.  Not only does it require the time commitment of making the twice-monthly rehearsals a priority and attending as many of the five or six performances as possible, but it does require a financial commitment of $150 (it may be broken down into six monthly payments or paid in full up front).  Students represent the Lord, their families, and Reverence Studios through these opportunities and are required to behave in a way that honors those who they represent.
El Emet is under the direction of Laura Noss and Alysha Argot for the 2017-2018 dance season.  Auditions for the 2017-2018 dance season will be Friday April 28 at Reverence Studios.  To book El Emet for your event in 2018, please contact Kirsten Kline at 717-649-9888.
Cor Ignis
Cor Ignis Dance Company is comprised of advanced students ages 14-18.  Cor Ignis learns shorter numbers and shares Scriptural thematic elements through dance.  Dancers in Cor Ignis have their kick-off in August of each year, rehearse twice a month September through February, and then begin performing in September of each school year.  Cor Ignis usually performs at 10-14 venues each school year and can adapt their repertoire to meet the needs of each venue.
